A powerful blast ripped through a bus parked at the entrance to a business center in Mar Taqla area (next to the church) of Sad Boushriyeh district northeast of Beirut Monday wounding at least ten people, security sources said. The exact time of the explosion was 8:15 pm, coinciding with a meeting of security officials at the Prime Minister's offices in the Saraya. The number of wounded has been increased from 7 to 10. The explosion also inflicted damage to the front of the bus, cars parked in the crowded area and at least 10 shops in the business center. Ambulances and fire engines, their sirens wailing, rushed to the scene of the blast minutes after the explosion echoed across the stricken area. Helmeted Lebanese troops set up checkpoints and searched the area for suspects as well as for more bombs.
